About the Instructor

Takahiro Hongo

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Tohoku University and a Master’s degree in Law from Hitotsubashi University.

I worked for 10 years in the Legal Department of Toshiba Corporation, where I was involved in international EPC contracts for overseas power and plant projects.

After leaving Toshiba, I became an independent consultant and have been providing EPC contract training for plant engineering companies.

I am the author of several books on EPC contracts, including Practical Guide to EPC Contracts, which is one of the most widely read EPC contract reference books in Japan and has also been translated and published in Taiwan.

Since 2024, I have been delivering EPC contract training in English to overseas plant engineering companies, using clear and practical English tailored for non-native professionals.
